Brief History:

Dickinson Insurance was established in 1984 by Jim Dickinson. The business opened in Post Falls Idaho. Son, J.D. Dickinson, joined the company in 1988 and in 2000 purchased the company from his dad, Jim.

The company has added focus to sales and expanded into new markets and business joint ventures. With the best technology and staff in place we have been able to grow, offer value added products and provide the highest level of protection to our client base both locally and nationally.

We are licensed in Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Montana, California, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, North Carolina and Iowa. New states are currently being added and will continue to expand to additional states over the next year.

Bio's

J.D. Dickinson: CEO

As the leader of the company J.D. has over 20 years insurance experience. He is a licensed agent in property, casualty, life, disability (health) and is a certified work comp advisor. J.D. specializes in community and corporate relations, growth and marketing. His focus for the company is to lead the team with a vision and provide the community with a superior service. In his free time, JD enjoys golfing, fishing, playing guitar and spending time with his family.

Randy Oaks: President

Randy has 20 years experience and is a licensed agent in property and casualty insurance. He was appointed company President in 2008 and specializes in commercial lines, team director, corporate relations and community advocate. In his free time Randy enjoys boating, water sports, golfing, coaching youth sports and spending time with his family.

Angie Demmig: Vice President

Angie has 17 years experience and is a licensed agent in property, casualty, life and disability (health) insurance. She was appointed company Vice President in 2003 and specializes in company financials, corporate relations and assists in marketing and growth. In her free time, Angie enjoys camping, being in the great outdoors, reading motivational books and travel. .

Carrie Macias: Director of Staff Operations

Carrie has 12 years experience and is a licensed agent in property and casualty insurance. She specializes in New Business Director assistance, office training and automation. In her free time, Carrie enjoys fishing, golfing, music, gaming and is a football fan.

Jeni Ragan: Account Services Director

Jeni has 28 years experience and is a licensed agent in property and casualty insurance. She was appointed Director of Internal Operations in 2005 and specializes in team development and management of the Dickinson team. In her free time, Jeni enjoys cooking, reading, golfing and is a big sports fan.

Ryan Barnes: New Business Director

Ryan has 6 years of experience and is a licensed agent in property and casualty insurance. He also has earned his Bachelors Degree from the University of Idaho. Ryan specializes in new business sales and protection for commercial lines insurance. In his free time, Ryan enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, backpacking, basketball, football, softball, golf and Idaho Vandal Athletics.

Melanie Beebe: New Business Director Assistant

Melanie has 6 years of experience and is a licensed agent in property and casualty insurance. She specializes in new business sales and assists the directors in protection for commercial lines insurance. Melanie has earned her ACSR designation and is currently working towards her INS Series. In her free time she enjoys golfing, fishing and reading. Most of all loves spending time with her daughter Madi.

Ross Morton: New Business Director

Ross has 4 years of experience. He is a licensed agent in property and casualty insurance. He specializes in new business sales and protection for personal lines insurance. Ross is graduate from the University of Idaho with a major in Marketing. In his free time he enjoys playing sports, staying active, outdoor activities and Idaho Vandal athletics.

Steve Shenefelt: New Business Director

Steve has 6 years experience and is a licensed agent in property and casualty insurance. He specializes in new business sales and protection for personal lines insurance. Steve also splits his time with our higher risk auto division - Glacier Insurance. In his free time, Steve enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, Atv's, and outdoor recreation.

Kelsey Woolverton: Benefits manager

Kelsey has 9 years of experience and is licensed in disability (health) and life insurance. She specializes in individual and group benefits and is licensed to handle AFLAC benefits. In her free time she enjoys outdoor activities, hunting, fishing and spending time with her family. Kelsey is a proud new mom to son, Mason.

Bob Nonini: Benefits Specialist

Bob has 25 years experience in the financial services industry. He specializes in life, health, disability, long term care and has a vast knowledge of the annuity marketplace. Bob will be returning to the Idaho legislature for his third term in January 2009. He is a North Idaho native and is an active member of the community. In his free time, Bob enjoys community service and spending time with his wife Cathyanne.

Debbie Trimble: Office Assistant, Receptionist

Debbie has 6 years of experience. She specializes in handling incoming calls and clients and directing to staff. In addition Debbie helps assist all divisions in their processes and updating systems. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, church activities and outdoor activities.
